National Eligibility and Entrance Test [NEET UG] 2018

What is NEET (UG)?

It is a National level Entrance Examination in India for those students who want to pursue medical courses like MBBS, BDS (Dental Course) from Government or Private Medical colleges in India. This exam is conducted by CBSE. From 2013 NEET UG replaced All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges. This exam usually conducted every year in the month of May.

The first NEET Exam was conducted on 5th May 2013 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM and the result was declared on 5th June 2013.

Mode  of Exam: Offline Only
Types of Questions: Objective (1 correct out of 4 options)
Total Questions: 180
Duration: 180 Minutes (3 Hours)

There are three section having questions from
Physics (45 Questions of 180)
Chemistry (45 Questions of 180)
Biology (Botany & Zoology) ( 90+90=180 Questions of 360 Marks)

Marking Scheme

Correct +4 Marks  | Incorrect -1 Marks

Maximum Marks 720
Minimum Marks -180

More than 1.33 million students across the country will vie for 66,000 medical and dental seats on Sunday when the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) will be held. This means that for every seat there will be 20 students.
